U.S. troops accidentally stormed an olive oil factory in Bulgaria during a training exercise last month, and have apologized. The U.S. soldiers had been training to clear bunkers across an airfield in Bulgaria and cleared a building next to the airfield that “they believed was part of the training area, but that was occupied by Bulgarian civilians operating a private business,” according to a statement from the U.S. Army Europe and Africa, which apologized to the business and its employees.
